Electrical Installations & Maintenance
RJ Electrical Contractors takes the time to find out what a client wants before doing a commercial electrical installation. Depending on the needs of a business, this could be anything from a full electrical installation for a new commercial property to a partial rewiring of your current premises, for example if you plan to add on or remodel. Here are some of the questions we usually ask when you come to us for installation work for the first time:
- What kind of work do you need done?
- Do you need extra services like heating or air conditioning?
- What are your long-term plans for this place?
- Your Budget?
Once we have this information, we’ll put together a design brief and quote so you can see how much work is involved and how much it will cost. Some parts of the installation will be more important than others. This means we can make sure your business’s electrical installation meets its specific needs. Every part of the installation will have a fixed price, so there won’t be any unpleasant surprises when the job is done.
As a NICEIC Approved Contractor, you can trust RJ Electrical Contractors to do a great job with your electricity. All of our electricians are trained to the highest standards and always make sure that any electrical work they do follows the latest safety rules, such as Part P of the Building Regulations, the Electricity Supply Regulations, and the Electricity at Work Regulations.
Electrical Installation Certificate
After completing an electrical installation, addition, or alteration, RJ Electrical will provide you with a Certificate of Compliance stating that it meets the appropriate Safety Standards. You will receive either an Electrical Installation Certificate (or EIC) or a Minor Electricity Installation Works Certificate (or MEIWC).
It is important to retain this certificate as it will help you avoid having to pay for expensive exploratory work in the near future. If someone claims that a fire or injury was due to an electrical installation, an Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) or Mechanical Engineer’s Inspection Certificate (MEIWC) may be used as documentary evidence that it met a satisfactory standard of safety when installed.
